The UTINAM Institute declares himself as a struggling laboratory

The UTINAM Institute, gathered in a general assembly on February 10, 2009:

- denounces the insulting and slanderous remarks pronounced by the President of the Republic on January 22, towards the personnels of the public service of Research and High Education.

- expresses his refusal of the programmed dismantling of the institutions of french research and of the public service of Research and High Education.

- condemns the decrease of financial and personnel means which results in the weakening of Education and Research.

- reaffirms the essential character of the institutional supervision of CNRS over research laboratories as well as the necessity to maintain the implantation of all research organisations over the whole french territory.

The world of research issued positive proposals during the States General of research in 2004; those have been distorted following an accounting logic and to the benefit of a short-term vision.

The UTINAM Institute declares himself as a "struggling laboratory" and asks that all reforms are performed following consultations and in respecting the values carried by Research and High Education.
