Research activities:

1) Nanoparticles

  • Synthesis et characterization of multifonctional nanoparticles for biomedical applications:
    - image-guided therapy (IRM, CT, PET, fluorescence),
    - biosensors,
    - modification of the transport properties of porous materials

2) Contaminants

  • Hybrid treatments for water decontamination:
    - removal of organic compounds by photocatalysis
    - retention of metals by adsorption
    - modelling of pollutants transfer
  • Grounds decontamination by washing with solutions re-use

3) Membranes

  • Chemical modification of the membrane surface properties
    - adjustment of separation selectivity
    - application to wastewater treatment
  • Characterization of structural and physicochemical properties of membranes and fouling deposits
    - hydraulic permeability and mean pore radius
    - charge density
    - dielectric constant of the material and solutions confined in nanopores
  • Mass transfer modelling:
    - through the membrane
    - through the concentration polarization layer
